Ph.D. in Economics or Management

....  study program serves to qualify graduate and postgraduate students for an international career in economical and managerial research. The program is entirely taught in the English language and strives to equip students to gain extended experience in international academia. Excellent previous results throughout the applicants educational careers are expected.

Program Structure

The Ph.D. of our faculty degree requires the completion of 3 compulsory qualifying courses and examinations and builds upon an excellent basis in economic theory, econometrics, and quantitative methods as well as research.

The regular curriculum comprises two preparatory semesters (including the preparation of the research proposal with the supervisor). Prior work experience is not required for admission.

Ph.D. in Economics:     Advanced Microeconomics + Advanced Macroeconomics; Optional Course
Ph.D. in Management:  Advanced Microeconomics + Advanced Management; Optional Course

Starting from the 3rd semester: dissertation periode:
Applications for admittance into the dissertation stage of the doctoral program must be made to the dean of the faculty. To be accepted, the applicant must have successfully completed all courses of the preparatory stage and must have obtained the approval of two supervisors for a proposed research project.
